This week, we take a trip back to August 1977 and the beginning of an 18-month nightmare for the Hodgson family, from Enfield in North London.   The Hodgsons found themselves under siege from a malevolent poltergeist who targetted the children and the Enfield Poltergeist case became an overnight sensation. Within days of it starting, SPR member Maurice Grosse arrived and began to record the events.   Within in days, he would be joined by renowned poltergeist investigator, Guy Lyon Playfair and together, they would catalogue over 1,500 incidents over a period between September 1977 and April 1979.   They were the only two hands on investigators on the case, which of course has caused some consternation that a pair of American "investigators" The Warrens, pretended and promoted themselves as the key investigators.   This is simply not true and now, thanks to the painstaking work of Dr. Melvyn Willin, we discuss the 400 hours of taped evidence, which he has transcribed and digitised, since being left this incredible record by Grosse and Playfair.
