Elizabeth and Caroline Tully, seniors at Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, discuss with Host Bill Horan and NCC student Gina Santillo a new interfaith program at the school. Common Ground brings high school girls together in a community service and educational initiative that builds bridges across religious, spiritual, and philosophical differences. Common Ground provides strong affirmation that the world's religions have a common ethic of peace and justice and by working together can use faith to help create peace in the world.

Topics discussed on today's program.
-What was the motivation to create Common Ground
-What is Interfaith dialogue and why is it important for young people to engage in it
-How was Common Ground organized into a tri-school partnership that includes Sacred Heart Academy and all girls Catholic High School in Hempstead, The Crescent School (Hempstead), a co-ed Muslim high school, and the Schechter School (East Williston), a conservative Jewish high school
-How adults in the Long Island community can benefit too from Common Ground
