This week on the podcast we break down the 2019 psychological horror film "Midsommar" directed by Ari Aster. Midsommar follows protagonist Dani, as she tags along with her emotionally distant boyfriend and his anthropologist friends to Sweden. There the group studies a remote village as they prepare for their Midsommar festival. Things take a dark turn when the villagers turn out to not be as friendly as they first appear. Despite this Dani is still drawn to them, finding an emotional connection with the villagers that she was unable to find in the outside world.
