Hey everyone, I'm a week late but The Super Mario Bros. Movie - one of the most highly anticipated films of the year - has finally released in theatres. Thirty years after Nintendo's previous attempt to adapt Mario into live-action, they've teamed up with Illumination and delivered a movie that has SHATTERED box office records globally. While I am not a Mario super fan, I did really enjoy the Mario Kart games when I was a kid and was hoping that those who loved this IP would finally get the theatrical representation they've been waiting for. So is the movie actually good... or is it being carried by cheap Easter eggs and nostalgia?
