Demme started his career working for Roger Corman, directing 3 films (CAGED HEAT, CRAZY MAMA, FIGHTING MAD), before going off to make films like SWING SHIFT, MELVIN AND HOWARD, SOMETHING WILD. As well as directing films, he also has directed documentaries, TV shows, music videos and live concert films like STOP MAKING SENSE. Demme is stills going strong in his old age, having released a film back in 2015, called RICKI AND THE FLASH.
