"The Banshees of Inisherin" is a great written and directed film by Martin McDonagh, who takes black comedy to the ficitonal place called Inisherin fille with a unique cast of characters whom are very interactive. Some of the cast add great purpose to the push of the film's plot and they bring the two main characters together even though one of 'em doesn't wanna do jack. The film is so simple but filled with great dialog and how it supports loneliness, existentialism, life crisis, and other things in that nature. A very grown up film but it's also hilarious but it does some breath of fresh air throughout. A good balance of the seriousness and the hilariousness. I do hope this film wins for best original screenplay. It's very snappy, it helps support the point of the film and most of all, it ain't a bad time if you're having a pint or two.
