October 19th: Start of the Zebra Murders (1973)

By all means necessary. It's a phrase that you hope police officers use to find the bad guys, without taking it too far. October 19th 1973 brought the first of what would be 15 murders committed by a group of Black men on white victims. And, while successful, the task force would make some questionable decisions to make sure they got their men.
