Cast Away: Ill Be Right Back(?)

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are weeping over the loss of our dearest volleyball pals. We watched the 2000 film from Robert Zemeckis, Cast Away.

I don\\u2019t mean to alarm you, but after watching this film, it\\u2019s in the best interest of everyone that we all learn what it takes to survive on a desert island. I\\u2019m not saying it\\u2019s bound to happen to us all, but you never know what the future might hold.

A good primer to this subject, fortunately, is this very film. I wouldn\\u2019t say that the ordeal poor Chuck Nolan went through is representative of all desert islands, but we\\u2019ve got to start somewhere.

So join us in reading about how to open up tasty coconuts, start a fire, and perform self-surgery on a terribly infected tooth using only the ice skates that happened to wash ashore.

With all due respect to the man, if Tom Hanks can do it, then anyone can do it. Just remember to always lash your Wilson to your island escape raft with extra VHS tape!
