027-EN - Robert Scott Thayer: teaching children about climate change

Published: Nov. 17, 2021, 12:54 p.m.

Robert is an award-winning recording artist, a watercolour painter, an ocean and climate advocate and he is also the author of the award winning educational children's books series called Kobee Manatee®.

His latest installment: Kobee Manatee Climate Change and The Great Blue Hole Hazard  is exploring the effects of the climate change on various creatures of the oceans and particularly the manatees. It is a fictitious story with non fiction facts and amazing illustrations by Lauren Gallegos.

In this interview, we talked about Robert's writing process; the importance of raising awareness around climate change and taking actions, even if they seem very small; we talked about manatees and Robert's passion and interest for the manatee population and many other interesting subjects.

It was a very warm conversation and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
