- Joseph had 11, not 10 brothers. However, only his 10 half-brothers were involved in the plot to kill him and his sale. Joseph and his 11 brothers make up the 12 tribes.
- The word for “miss the mark” in Hebrew is “chet.” “Avera” means “to cross over” meaning to cross a moral boundary. Both words are used to mean transgressions or sins.
