b'A sixth generation Coloradan, Duke Beardsley has been painting the American West for as long as he can remember. Formally trained at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Duke with his family now lives and works in Denver. Duke\\u2019s work has been featured in numerous local and national publications. In 2007 Duke\\u2019s work was featured in Out West; The Great American Landscape, an exhibition of Contemporary American Western Art that traveled throughout China. In 2008 Duke was the select artist for the Colorado Governor\\u2019s Art Award and was the 2011 Golden, CO Foothills Art Center Artist of The Year. He was the 2011 recipient of the William Weiss Purchase Award at the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale in Cody, WY and in 2012 he was selected to paint the 2013 Calgary Stampede commemorative poster. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions including the 2019 inaugural exhibition Masterworks of the West at the Calgary Stampede, The Coors Western Art Show, the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, the Masters of the American West Exhibition, and The Colorado Governor\\u2019s Invitational Art Show; and is included in many notable private and public collections worldwide including the Denver Art Museum, The Booth Museum of Western Art, the Whitney Collection of Western American Art and the Forbes Collection.
