Giulia Guerrieri is a 21 year old from Long Island, NY. She comes on to tell her Nonna's (Grandma's) story. When Giulia told us about her Nonna's story we decided on the spot that it would be inspiring and meaningful for the world to hear her story. Her Nonna was born and raised in Italy. In time she moved her family over to the United States and started living in Long Island, NY. She worked her whole life to keep her family healthy and thriving financially. A year ago she found out that she had stage 4 ovarian cancer. While battling cancer she found out that her husband was also diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He would end up passing away about a month later. Soon after the family told her about her husbands passing, she ended up getting in a life threatening car accident. She was hospitalized with severe injuries. While she was in the hospital recovering she found out that her son had died. Today, she is still recovering and staying strong. Her story is the definition of resilience.
