Sure, Captain Marvel can go at VFX. Yes, How To Train Your Dragon 3 should get animated feature. And why not? Apollo 11 wowed us to the point where it could contend for Best Documentary. But “Us” has the most pronounced buzz yet. Audiences from SXSW & critics alike seem to be in favor of the film, and if Get Out is any indication, Peele could be nominated all over despite it’s spring release date. So we want to traverse some more of the possibilities & inevitabilities going into this film. What exactly does the title mean? Has Jordan Peele joined some rare air with a second hit / oscar film in as many tries? Will Lupita N’yongo contend in the Best Actress category? And can we read into any of the early numbers? These are just a few questions raised before we head into the main event, the Mikes guess the plot. You read that right. It’s a non-spoiler episode, and yet, we have guessed the plot of the movie. Well, we have reached a treacherous agreement with evil forces. The aim is simple: predict the plots exactly while also not spoiling you in the least.
