We could probably do a solid 5 hours on this topic, just coming up with new categories in which to gush. MMO has lavished affections on the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the entirety of the life of our podcast for a reason. Marvel Studios makes great films that we love, and we love talking about them. So this episode chooses 20 categories. Full disclosure, I couldn’t rewatch ALL of the movies yet again before preparing the show, & i’s quite possible I left some other moments out of this. But as we all know from covering awards seasons, this is nothing new or different for the Academy. So do let us know your snubs. If you enjoyed this episode, you’re in luck. We have covered & reviewed every single MCU movie since Tony built that first suit. We did the first 18 films in 6 episodes leading into Infinity War. Then we did a full episode on the third Avengers before a Marvel Re-Rank episode, where we gave our top 19’s. Of course, we’ve reviewed each new Marvel film since including a two parter on Black Panther and OSP’s on Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, and a whole new series leading into Endgame. We dedicated a full episode to the first Avengers 4 trailer, covered all the subsequent ones in MMO Weekly, and then we embarked on a two part preview. There’s our customary Guess The Plot, where we flex our writing muscles and beg Disney to hire us. Then we did a dead pool (no, not that one), where we guess who will live and die. We think these will play even after you’ve seen the film. In one of our best audience interactions to date, we asked our fans to tell us their most anticipated movie events, which we covered on MMOW. But before that interaction, we released our Top 5 Movie Events in its own episode, where we told some wacky true stories about why we love to see great popcorn movies. Finally, we just finished our two part review of Avengers: Endgame. Part 1 covered our first impressions & for part 2, we were lucky enough to land one of our favorite comedians from TBS’s Conan and IGN, Nick Mundy, and we had a blast breaking the film down with him.
