Our “What We’re Watching” segment is the first stop as we spend a good 20 minutes reviewing Bombshell to start the episode. Of course, we cannot resist some talk about The Mandalorian as it just wrapped up its first season. Then Mike1 reviews The Peanut Butter Falcon and The Good Place. Your SixDegreesOfMMO submissions were particularly funny, full of great Dad jokes & callbacks to great movies from our childhoods. We start off another improv for this month’s first 2020 throne, and we give you what we hope is an all time fun new challenge. We recap the holiday box office for the top 9 films to close out the year, and we give you another tease of our upcoming review of Uncut Gems. There are two excellent trailers for 2020 horror films as A Quiet Place Part II puts on quite the sequel spectacle, and Gretel & Hansel creeps us the hell out with its Eggars / Aster level production design. We’re also scared of that Borg Queen turned wicked witch. Then we close out the episode with a look at the upcoming theatrical releases in DYC, and we also discuss awards season stories like the new vegan menu at the Golden Globes, the Ron Funches hosted Artios Awards for Casting, and we talk about the start of Oscars voting and how the timeline may affect the nominees.
