So we needed the Monday to record our inflamed reactions to the latest Game of Thrones episode, and as usual, we get carried away. Do skip ahead 22 minutes if you don’t want any of these spoilers, and that’s where we’ll begin our normal segments like Trailer Thoughts. There were some terrific trailers dropped over the past week. We got potential Oscar films in Judy, based on the story of Judy Garland, and The Farewell with a likely breakout by Awkwafina. It Chapter 2 gave us far more than a teaser with the return of that silly ole Pennywise, and we also gushed over previews of Big Little Lies, where Nicole Kidman squares off with Meryl Streep, and two promising horror films like The Lodge and The Perfection. Our audience interaction hit a few more high scores this past week with our MMOasks twitter question about taglining X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and we announce the winners of last week’s SixDegreesOfMMO via Zendaya to Wendell Pierce before we smack you in the face with the ultimate gauntlet, perhaps the most difficult challenge yet for next week. We update you on the Avengers & Pokemon led box office, discuss the sad news of the passing of Doris Day, and then rundown next week’s theatrical releases along with a few of the bigger news stories in Do You Care. Unfortunately, we will not be able review Pokemon: Detective Pikachu this week as life has interrupted our plans. Sorry about that.
