We begin with a lot of happiness, and it continues into our Oscar Race update as we react to the Screen Actors Guild Awards! We go category by film category and discuss a bunch of stats, film theories, and speeches regarding the SAGs. Black Panther won Best Ensemble, and we hope this reopens it’s Best Picture chances. There are stats to back up this hope. Glenn Close confused us with her speech, but she emerges as the clear front runner now. Then we have a surprise with Rami Malek winning the Lead Actor category, and we discuss the likelihood of a real race between Malek and Christian Bale. Emily Blunt surprises us again by winning Best Supporting Actress, Mahershala Ali cements himself as the favorite for Best Supporting Actor, and we have A LOT to say about Stunt Ensemble winner Black Panther, taking the award over Mission: Impossible - Fallout.
