So we're gonna stick with it. We reviewed Game of Thrones atop the show, and the big news Monday was the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer 2. Our first two segments also featured reviews of Barry and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, and Serenity, as well as some fun re-watches like Steve Jobs & Inside Man. Then we also review that Sonic trailer as well as a few of the award winners from the Tribeca film fest. Our SixDegreesOfMMO challenge last week was a tough one. But as usual, you managed to make easy work of it, and we were very impressed. So we have too much fun talking about those submissions before giving you a Tribeca / Spider-Man themed challenge for next week. The Avengers box office continued to Wow us, and we break down some of the updated numbers and records set by the movie event of the year. Unfortunately, there are some sad news stories to report with the passings of John Singleton and Peter Mayhew. We pay some tribute there of course. Our DYC segment asks a bunch of questions about next week’s theatrical releases including some talk about Detective Pikachu, which we’ll review the following week. Then we discuss the Sonic fiasco more fully before jumping into a film festival news segment for our Oscar Race Update. Cannes added both a closer in The Specials and a major draw in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. Tribeca announced it’s awards winners, and of course, we have now added a bunch of films to our watch lists. As always, let us know what you think.
