We could not ignore this deluge of new nominations and felt that we needed to focus all 3 weekday episodes on these developments. So we covered the hell out of the Golden Globes in 2 previews, a monster recap episode, and another mid-week look at the fallout. To be honest, we’re also still reacting to the shocks to our system from the HFP in this show as well. But we also covered the many Guild nominations in that mid-week show, and now we’re all over the BAFTA slate in conjunction with a Critics Choice Awards Preview. We chose to go category by category and grouped the many nominations from both award shows accordingly. There are some well timed stats from Mike 1, some callbacks to critics association scoreboard from Also Mike, and both of us make our picks, go on epic rants, and banter like only we could throughout the episode. It’ll be a fast paced show, but we also hope a fun one for your listening pleasure. Our MMO Weekly this coming Monday will feature our reactions to this Sunday’s Critics Choice Awards. So stay tuned for that. We’ll also have a few Oscar Sprint Profile movie reviews for you coming soon. RBG and If Beale Street Could Talk are the next two on our schedule. Then looking ahead (as we did in the past two episodes) at the schedule, we’ll make sure you stay updated and get your awards talk fix with reactions to the Oscar Nominations in 2 weeks, the SAGs, other Guild Awards and BAFTAs throughout the next month. Finally, we’ll begin to infuse our category reviews once we get those Oscar Nominations, and there will be a few interesting diversions along the way with potential interviews, horror films, and early 2019 film releases. The Awards Season programming is jam packed, and we hope to become one of your go-to podcasts during the next month, as well as year round. Let us know what you think about our takes. We are Mike, Mike, and Oscar on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and Gmail. We’re at MMandOscar on Twitter, and you can comment, share, like, and listen to us just about wherever you get your podcasts. If you please, do leave us a review & 5 star rating on iTunes. Those go a long way in helping us spread the word organically about our show, and lastly, remember our slogan. The world can be a dark place. But when reality sucks, watch movies with us. We’re Mike, Mike, and Oscar!
