This week’s talk by Charles Fillmore was given on August 9, 1931, and is entitled “The Unfolding of the Higher Self.” It is based on the conversion of Saul on the way to Damascus. Fillmore states, “We look upon this experience of Paul’s as a step in man’s [humankind’s] evolution. The development in man [humankind] of that higher principle which is latent in every man and woman. … Jesus was an example of the practical unfoldment of a universal principle … Every one of us has this God Principle.” Finally, Charles Fillmore shares, “Jesus Christ is the great Head, showing us the way to the unfoldment of this spiritual principle.” In The Revealing Word we reviewed from “God, centered in” to and including “God-man.”
