When someone asks, \\u201cWhat\\u2019s your sign?\\u201d they\\u2019re talking about the Sun sign, which is the basis for most horoscopes today. Each sign has an archetype. There are twelve Sun signs, each with character traits, inclinations, leanings, and motivations. Still, each sign also has shadow energy and during times of stress, overwhelm, or transformation, this shadow side is more intense.\\xa0

In Western astrology, where the sun was at the time of birth defines your astrology sign. The rising sign (also known as your Ascendant) is your social personality. It is how you dawn on people as it relates to the zodiac sign that was on the Eastern horizon when you were born. Your rising sign represents your physical body and outward style. Where the moon was at the time/location of your birth is how you process or handle emotions. The sun sign blends with the rest of your planets to form your unique, one-of-a-kind astrological blueprint. And this is why someone may not always \\u201cseem like an Aries, or a LEO, or Cancer.\\u201d But it\\u2019s the best place to start when learning about astrology, and it can take you far in understanding yourself and others.\\xa0 \\xa0
