Published: June 29, 2016, 2:57 p.m.

b'Steve Heaney joined the British Army in 1986 and in January 1990 he undertook selection for X Platoon, more formally known as the Pathfinders, and at only twenty years old became the youngest soldier ever to pass the rigorous selection process. Trained in the skill sets required of an operator in this highly specialized unit including weapons and tactics, covert surveillance and reconnaissance, high frequency and satellite communications, combat medical techniques and trauma management, advanced demolitions and sabotage and resistance to interrogation. He realized that the ethos and leadership skills he learned within the military are great skills to transition and that they can aid private sector organizations upon separation. We talk about how these skills and traits are important to take with separating military. \\n\\nFollow Mentors for Military:\\niTunes: http://apple.co/1WaEvbB\\nSoundCloud: www.soundcloud.com/mentors4mil\\nInstagram: www.instagram.com/mentors4mil\\nTwitter: www.twitter.com/mentors4mil\\nFacebook: www.facebook.com/mentors4mil\\nHomepage: www.mentorsformilitary.com'
