PECO Representative Discusses Municipal EV Charging Station Options, Rebates, & Grants

b'Ted Dorand, PECO External Affairs Manager for Bucks County, was a Special Guest speaker at the April 19, 2022, meeting of the Newtown Economic Development Committee. \\n\\nIn this audio clip, Mr. Dorland speaks about Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations. He describes the three main types of EV charging \\u2013 rapid, fast, and slow - and provided information on financial aid that PECO and the Department of Environmental Protection offer to municipalities wishing to install charging stations. Mr. Dorland mentions, for example, that Middletown Township recently received a $215,000 grant to install three EV fast chargers for public use.\\n\\nMeanwhile, the Joint Zoning Council (JZC) is working on an ordinance permitting the use of EV charging stations in Newtown, Upper Makefield, and Wrightstown.
