The Wild Ways of Joy, Gentleness, and Peace

Philippians -- Philippians 4:4-7 Paul throws some of the fruit of the Spirit into our passage today, as we resume our series on Philippians. They aren't words we're used to hearing these days. And considering Paul writes from prison to a growing movement amid heavy Roman suppression, they may have seemed out of place at the time, too. Joy, gentleness, and peace. It feels like this isn't the year for those. But the call to live in Christ is a call for "visionary contentment." Don't get this confused with naive optimism, though. What does this even look like?
