On the surface, it may seem like a strange narrative for a modern message but don't be fooled. Deborah is the example of the kind of leadership and faith God is calling women to have alongside, and even over, men. She knows that the character of God is to keep God's promises even in ways that might not seem obvious. The Lord will go before us, but the leaders of the church are being called to rise up.
