Fragmented

Jesus continues his Woes by turning to the Temple. He has sharp words to say to those who value the gifts and sacrifices brought to the temple above all else. The leaders, in creating an economy of sacrificial animals inside the Temple itself have forgotten the act of worship that should have accompanied the sacrifice. Their faith is fragmented; valuing the presentation over the gratitude. Jesus' words should make us uncomfortable as well. Because what is a Christian who worships in church without intentional discipleship? Maybe we're just as fragmented as they were.
