Published: June 16, 2017, 6:17 p.m.

Hey there Wonderlings, Happy Friday! Welcome to another episode of Looking Back On My Wonder Years with me your host Angela Bowen. Today I’ll looking at Season 2 Episode 4 Steady As She Goes which aired on January 11, 1989. Kevin's continuing longing for Winnie has caused him to become frustrated with being alone. And it's not helping that his best friend, Paul, now has Carla. When Kevin reaches his breaking point, he ends up asking Becky Slater to go steady, even though it's just to make Winnie jealous. Before we dive into this episode I have a special announcement as you all know next Wednesday June 21 aside from Prince William’s birthday it’s also the first day of summer and in honor of this day I want to kick things off with a bang so I’m giving you 3 summer episodes I’m jumping a head in time with Wonder Years Episodes S2E17 How I’m Spending My Summer Vacation which aired on May 16, 1989, S3E1 Summer Song which aired on October 3, 1989 and S5E1 The Lake which aired on October 2, 1991. Let’s celebrate summer time Wonderlings!! Also guys another way to elevate your honorary Wonderling Status to a higher level in becoming a Prince or Princess Wonderling is to go to Itunes and leave a five star review. I will give you a shout out on the podcast. Or if you answer 25 Wonder Years Trivia Questions Correctly I will be keeping track. The three levels are 10 Questions you will be an heir or heiress to the Wonderling Throne 25 Questions makes you a Prince or Princess and 50 Questions makes you a Wonderling King or Queen. Now it’s time for my flower power episode rating I’m giving it 3 out of five flower power petals 1. For kirk with the I’m sorry Winnie sign in the window. 2. Kevin and Winnie’s so called duet in choir. 3. Carla and Paul looking cute together I knocked off two for Kevin asking becky to go steady on a whim and for him erupting at his family, or maybe when he pushed past that couple on the ice rink or maybe for making Becky miss her bus ride home. Who was the worst: KEVIN for many reasons stated above Far out threads award goes to Winnie at the skating rink. What I learned from this episode: If you don’t like someone don’t ask them out just to fit in with the crowd or because everyone else is doing it, You’ll look like a jerk and also end up hurting someone who doesn’t deserve it. I want to give a sincere thank to all you listeners out there whether you listen to this podcast on Itunes or Soundcloud or any other listening platforms that you may use to hear this podcast. I love giving you the episode recaps of The Wonder Years every week joining me as I go into full detail as we reminisce of days gone by with Kevin and his friends Paul and Winnie, and the rest of the Arnold family. as well as giving my occasional running commentary and childhood stories.
