Happy Friday Wonderlings!, Angela Bowen, here the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, i'm covering S5E6: Triangle which aired on November 6, 1991. In this episode With a new girlfriend, Wayne actually becomes nicer and more likable. However, his new girlfriend seems to be more interested in Kevin. One lucky girl finds herself in the middle of an Arnold Bros Sandwich. Poor Wayne gets shafted when his new girlfriend who likes em’ young finds a soul mate in Kevin. Yeah, there’s no way that would work out, breaking a guy’s heart just to turn around and date his younger brother. Not to mention she already met Jack and Norma and I can’t see this situation sitting well with them either. Sounds like a plot in soap opera and ends with Who’s the baby daddy on Maury. Maury: “We asked if you had made out with Wayne’s younger brother, you said no. The lie detector proved that was a lie. In this episode I also talk about One Tree Hill for those of you familiar with Season 1 when Keith, Dan Scott's older brother gets drunk and sleeps with Dan's wife Deb and Dan walks in on it. Luckily for Kevin and Wayne this doesn't happen for them. It could have if Wayne walked in on Sandy kissing Kevin though. I also bring up the 1993 movie Son in Law starring Pauly Shore and Carla Gugino (Sandy)in this episode. I bring up Lindsey Sloane who plays Alice who I only recognize as BIG RED from the movie Bring It On and I also bring up Why, Charlie Brown, Why. A Peanuts short about Linus having a girlfriend with cancer. There are stills on the IMDB of the girl without hair. It's a little unsettling for a kid's cartoon. Join me next week when I cover S5E7: Soccer which aired on November 20, 1991. In this episode after being cut from the football team, Kevin finds out that McKinley High has a soccer team. He signs up for the team but soon realizes that most of the kids on the team are nerdy and un-athletic and the coach is a legendary former football coach whose best days have passed him by. Have a great weekend!!
