b'Happy Wonder Wednesday Everyone,\\n\\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back on My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.\\n\\nToday, I covered S1E9: Home For The Holidays, which aired on December 1, 2021.\\n\\nIn this episode Dean can\'t wait to spend Christmas with his older brother, Bruce, when he returns home from Vietnam; Bruce struggles to adjust to life back in Montgomery; the rest of the family rely on their favorite holiday traditions to bring cheer.\\n\\n\\nI enjoyed this episode, but felt they really missed the mark with showing us how Bruce was struggling to adapting to being home. I mean other than him going on an interview for a bank teller position and being offered a janitor job and also being rejected by the manager at the hardware store when asking about the help wanted sign in the window.\\n\\nI wanted more show and less tell as he kept saying "you don\'t know what I went through over there".\\n\\nI can understand why he makes the decision he does in the end as hard as it is for the family to accept at first.\\n\\nI guess I wanted more "Wart" homecoming episode from Season 6. I know we can\'t have a copy cat episode, but we\'ve come along ways with what can be shown on tv and movies since the 80\'s and 90\'s when it comes to the topic of a soldier returning home from war and adjusting to civilian life again. Sometimes that saying is true, they don\'t come back the same.
