b'Happy Wonder Wednesday Everyone,\\n\\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.\\n\\nToday, I covered the 2021 version of The Wonder Years S1E1: The Pilot, which aired on September 22, 2021.\\n\\nIn this episode Struggling to figure out where he fits in, Dean decides to pursue his calling as "The Great Uniter" and attempts to organize the first integrated baseball game between his team and his friend Brad\'s team.\\n\\nI really enjoyed this episode more on my second viewing. I actually caught myself having to correct my own misunderstanding on a scene from my original viewing.\\n\\nI look forward to seeing how the series progresses going along now that the show has been picked up for a full season 22 episodes.\\n\\nI really hope they dial it back just a smidge with adult Dean\'s popping in narration, that\'s what worked so great with the OG show, the adult version of the character only popped into to give some insight into what the character was thinking at the moment in the scene and rarely referred to current times and comparing it to the past.\\n\\nLike the comment about Google and fact checking on a bully. That agitated me a little.\\n\\nHoping that Dean\'s friend Brad will drop the saying "He or (She)\'s not prejudice". He said it like 3 times in the Pilot to the point where I\'m like, is that going to continue or become a catchphrase?\\n\\nOverall, I feel the Pilot Episode had a lot going on for a 25 minute show.\\n\\nFirst day of school, baseball game, MLK Jr. Death, then the BIG reveal at the end.\\n\\nIn the OG and I\'m sorry for comparing it to the original so much, but I love to compare and contrast the two shows. Kevin just had the first day of school to get through and then the aftermath of dealing with the death of someone he knew and comforting a friend which led to a moment of closeness for the two.\\n\\nMaybe the baseball game and MLK Jr death could have been the second episode, but keep the BIG reveal at the end of the first.\\n\\nI like that they flipped the table on us here with that. Instead of Dean getting his first kiss, he gets his first heartbreak and betrayal.\\n\\nI look forward to the development of the characters as I go along with Season 1 and see the journeys they go on. They got 22 episodes.\\n\\nJoin me next week when I cover S1E2: The Green Eyed Monster, which aired on September 29, 2021.\\n\\nIn this episode While Dean reckons with his first taste of heartbreak and betrayal, the adults in his life are overly empathetic and assume his grief is from mourning current events.\\n\\nAnd\\n\\nS1E3: The Club, which aired on October 6, 2021.\\n\\nIn this episode When Dean stumbles upon some racy literature and shares it with friends at school, Bill and Lillian must navigate uncharted territory as parents.\\n\\n\\nHave a great week everyone!\\n\\nTo EMAIL The Podcast Go To:\\n\\nlbomwonderyearspodcast@gmail.com'
