This girl is a real piece of work. She’s got Ricky in her sights and manipulates him into dating her in exchange for working for his father’s company. She comes on strong, so Ricky decides thanks to Derek’s advice to pretend he’s into her until she signs his father’s contract. Who’s really scamming who here? Edwards company produces some weird toys? A horn hat for preteen joggers. A pogo stick chair. A stuffed rabbit that does nothing. And lastly a Tommy the Therapist doll programmed with a man’s voice (so creepy). Barbara makes Ricky wear a sweatshirt that says Ricky loves Barbra on the front and a screen printing of her face on the back. (Gah) Barbra and Derek would be perfect for one another, they’re both demanding and manipulating.
