b'Hey Seaver Fans,\\n\\nAngela Bowen here, the host of Show Me That Smile Again: A Growing Pains Podcast.\\n\\nToday, I decided to cover a CAROL SEAVER Episode with S3E15: The Marrying Kind, which aired on January 5, 1988.\\n\\nIn this episode Jason and Maggie are shocked when Carol announces her engagement to Bobby.\\n\\nI liked this episode, but Carol really got on my nerves, I get it, she\'s a teenager and not thinking logically, but in the case of being engaged to be married in high school is absolutely ludicrous.\\n\\nHer reasons for getting married right after graduation weren\'t even reasons.\\n\\nThe first "reason" she lists is something about her and Bobby getting an apartment off campus, mind you she didn\'t say anything about who would pay for said apartment or that she and Bobby would have to get jobs just to pay to eat and live while going to college and along with Bobby playing football.\\n\\nThe other "reason" is her pointing out that her parents as well as Bobby\'s parents got married shortly after high school.\\n\\nCarol\'s just being a teenage with her head in the clouds and not thinking of the logistics of what it means to be married and be a wife.\\n\\nShe and Bobby never talked about where they wanted to go to college and also the fact that Carol plans to keep her maiden name.\\n\\nThese are conversations that should be had long before you walk down the aisle.\\n\\nMike surprisingly is the only one that how bass ackwards this whole thing is and I like how he explains it to Carol saying how Bobby is the first guy she ever went out with and how she needs to meet and go out with other guys to make sure he\'s really the one. His example is:\\n\\nlet\'s say chili dogs were the first thing you ever ate and you ate them every day for a month you\'d be puking your guts right about now.\\n\\nI loved the scene at the end when he comforts Carol. Even though they disagree a lot, he\'s still being a big brother to her and there when she needs him.\\n\\n\\nJoin me next month when I cover a MIKE SEAVER Episode S3E3: Taking Care Of Business, which aired on September 22, 1987.\\n\\nIn this episode Morals and friendships are tested when Mike takes a job at a stereo store managed by a notorious troublemaker from his past.\\n\\nHave a great week, everyone!'
