Confused by the doctrine of saved by faith, not by works, when the Bible tells us that the works of men counted as faith? Scripture tells us it is by our works we are known. Why would our faith save us if salvation is by Grace, ie unearned merit. Does faith not give us merit? Are we missing something in our exegesis? Do we even understand what faith is?
