The church was not created to be everyman’s friend. The church was no designed to turn a blind eye to hate, sin and evil. The church has a definition and a description it is not a chameleon that takes on the image of everyone who comes into contact with it. Tolerance is not part of the churches job description nor a precondition for those who would become Christian. But we take the love of Christ as tolerance of sin. Jesus was never tolerant. Being long suffering is not tolerance it is merely patience being exercised. The penalty remains regardless of how long it takes for justice to be served.
