The Populist Revolt

Published: March 19, 2020, 3:19 p.m.

Populism has steadily gained ground against the parties of the left and even when compared to conventional parties on the Right. Populism is not about mobs or middle-class opinions. Nor is Populism about traditional conservative values. Populism has become a reaction both the to the attacks of the left on property ownership and the failure of the Right to remain committed to the protection of property rights. Capitalism and conservative parties have abandoned the central concern of the majority of people. As a consequence, property rights have been steadily eroded. Not only the property rights of individual owners, but also the rights of the public to their lands and political jurisdictions. Populism is a reaction to the disempowerment that is part and parcel of the Globalist agenda. In this podcast we not only look at the reaction of those in the Populist movement to the loss of property rights but at ways to turn back this tide and reclaim the property rights that are part of our legacy of human rights.
