It is easy to assume there is but one reality, we see it all around us, yet it has small significance for humankind. Our reality plays in our heads and in the things we devise and build. There is little in nature that has value for us without extensive modification. Think of a house and the raw materials compared to the home we live in. But even houses with no people is a different reality to a sustainable community. We can live in a reality of things, a reality that is transient and easily destroyed, or a reality that has permeance and is full of meaning. The choice is ours.
