The world has no meaningful response to unemployment. The best the world does is decrease the rate at which prices are rising so to encourage companies to hire more workers. This at least generally creates real jobs producing real goods and services. However, the government often expands the public sector, whether in a capitalist or communist state. Public employment merely hides unemployment it does not really eliminate it. To eliminate unemployment there must always be greater pressure on job creation than on job reduction. For this we need the church.
