How easy it is to have faith when one believes one’s faith cannot be judged? If faith is such a personal thing that it is between us and God, who can call us to account regarding our claim? What is easier than claiming to believe in God and claiming to repent and desire to serve God? If this is the price of admission, no wonder many join or have joined. What is a work in faith; something we do on account of our unverified faith? Let’s be honest Christians and admit we have not challenged others because we do not want them to challenge our faith. We mock secularists for claiming to be a woman despite having no idea as to what a woman is, so they cannot be challenged. But what of our definition of Christian and church? Who can challenge us? We are because we say we are, is this the best we can do, is this all that God requires of us?
