Diversity is a key component of intersectional thinking. Democracies and eager to claim they are unreserved supporters of diversity. But it is one thing to claim this and incorporate highly diverse ideas and values into a policy platform. To be fully diverse is to be fully apathetic. Those who support everything support nothing. It is difficult to be diverse and democratic, when the majority voice holds the reins of power. This talk looks at how the demands of diversity groups grow increasingly at odds with the winner take all philosophy of democracy.
