The state has a lot of good answers regarding the gun violence perpetuated by its subjects, including incarceration, capital punishment, and depriving us of our right to ownership and self-defence, it has no answers to its own violence perpetuated on its citizens. Society needs a solution that addresses the concerns of law-abiding citizens, not those of criminals or autocrats. If a proposal has no mechanism of implementation debate concerning it will be endless and divisive, meaning nothing will be done and the criminal wins. If the mechanism devised serves only to block those with evil intent from carrying out the act of carnage the criminal is determined to inflict upon us, the block will be overcome, the carnage will take place, and the criminal will win.
