We talk about Ben's journey with mental health and a substance use disorder, and his decision to share his story publicly, while an elected official in the public eye. We discuss our opinions on Disease vs. Choice when it comes to addiction and substance use. Ben shares the work he has done in the local community and beyond through leading the charge in creating a Mental Health Access Center and as the Board President of the Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC).
