SERMON POINT #1 – WE WERE MADE TO BE IN COMMUNITY Ecclesiastes 4:8 – There was a man all alone; he had neither son nor brother. There was no end to his toil, yet his eyes were not content with his wealth. “For who am I toiling,” he asked, “and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?” This too is meaningless – a miserable business. SERMON POINT #2 – VIRTUAL RELATIONSHIPS ARE NO SUBSTITUTE FOR ACTUAL CONNECTION Hebrews 10:24-25 – And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching. SERMON POINT #3 – WE NEED ONE ANOTHER Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 – NLT – Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Acts 2:46-47 – Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
