Sermon Point #1 – JOY IS NOT BASED ON MY CIRCUMSTANCES Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NLT) – “Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die out in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.” SERMON POINT #2 – I MUST CHOOSE JOY Philippians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Sermon Point # 3 - I EXPERIENCE JOY BY DELIGHTING IN GOD 1 Peter 1:8-9 - Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) - You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
