Romans 12:9-10 - Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. SERMON POINT #1 - GOD’S PLAN IS FOR THE CHURCH TO BE IN COMMUNITY WITH ONE ANOTHER Acts 2:42-47 - They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had a need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. SERMON POINT #2 - YOU NEED YOUR CHURCH FAMILY Galatians 6:2 - Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. SERMON POINT #3 - YOUR CHURCH FAMILY NEEDS YOU Romans 12:4-8 - For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace give to each of us. If you have the gift of prophesying, they prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, the give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Hebrews 10:24-25 - And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
