The Practice of Not Understanding: Allowing Everything to Be Exactly as It Is

Published: Dec. 10, 2016, 2 a.m.

Practice makes perfect. Do you practice the way you show up in life? Do you practice being happy? Do you practice giving? Are you actively being the light of God that you are? How much time each day do you devote to living in love, living in joy? Do you practice "not understanding?" The habitual response for most people in uncomfortable situations is to try to understand what is occurring. They want to change the situation. They seek answers for their frustration, anger, loneliness, and doubt. What if you could practice not understanding? What if you learned to practice allowing everything to be exactly as it is? You would be happy. Join Max Just and Lisa Natoli in this show about practicing not knowing. They share their own personal stories of experiencing discomfort and yet deciding to not carry their discomfort into the next moment. You have a billion thoughts you can choose from in every moment. We often choose the one thought that is about our problems, but you can practice choosing another thought. You can choose to not tell your story of pain. Practice, practice, practice, and keep on practicing "not understanding." You will experience peace.  For more information about A Course in Miracles and the Teachers of God Foundation, visit teachersofgod.org.
