On this eighteenth episode of LISTEN TO THE PROPHETS: A STAR TREK DEEP SPACE NINE PODCAST, Andy, Paul, and Shawn talk about "Duet", hands down one of the BEST episodes of Deep Space Nine, perhaps of all Star Trek, ever produced. When a strange visitor suffering from a disease that only plagued a certain group of people who were prisoners of a Cardassian labor camp arrives at the station, Kira is eager to make sure that he gets the best care possible. However, when she finds out that the visitor is a Cardassian, Kira balks at the idea of helping him, especially when it is found out that the Cardassian is actually Gul Darhe'el, the infamous Butcher of Gallitep, known for his brutal treatment of the Bajoran prisoners. But is his story truthful, or is there more going on than meets the eye. If you can actually sit down and watch this episode and not come away thinking this is some of the best that Star Trek has to offer, I don't know what to say.
