This week I am joined by Roy van Eck, he played a monster in The Hex and is also a wine expert, he chose the 2009 film Watchmen. The film premise is in 1985 where former superheroes exist, the murder of a colleague sends active vigilante Rorschach into his own sprawling investigation, uncovering something that could completely change the course of history as we know it. It was my first time to see this Zack Snyder directed film and is available to watch on HBO Max, be sure to check it out if you haven't seen it or want to rewatch it.

Roy's Drink

• White Port
• Tonic Water
• A Squirt of Dry Lemon

Full Frontal Manhatten (youbentmywookie.com)

• 2 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin
• 1 oz Hiram Walker Blue Curacao
• 1/2 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
• 3 dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters

1. Shaken and served up. 
2. The Isotope staff prefers this cocktail to be served with a little backlighting for best blue glow effect.

The Comedian (youbentmywookie.com)

• 2 oz Yukon Jack Canadian Whiskey
• Dr. Pepper

1. Fill a tall glass with ice and feel free to go heavy on the Yukon Jack. 
2. Top off with as little Dr. Pepper as you dare. 
3. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a drop of blood in honor of that Watchmen smileyface button you’ve been bootlegging.

Silk Spectre (youbentmywookie.com):

• 1 1/2 oz Patron XO Cafe
• 1/2 oz Hiram Walker Creme De Cacao Dark
• 1 oz heavy cream
• Cinnamon

1. Combine the Patron XO Cafe and Hiram Walker Creme de Cacao Dark with ice and shake. 
2. Pour over ice, top off with heavy cream, and finish with a dash of cinnamon.

Before

• 4 parts Lillet Blanc
• 1 part Bourbon (Jim Beam)

During

• 4 parts Lillet Blanc
• 1 part bourbon (Jim Beam)
• 1 part Kirscwasser

After 

• 6 parts Lillet Blanc
• 1 part Kirschwasser

Directions For All 

1. Shake with ice and strain into highball glass half-filled with crushed ice.

Rorschach (superherococktails.file.wordpress.com)

• 4 parts Cream Liqueur (eg. Bailey's)
• 2 parts Aperol
• 1 to 2 parts Bourbon

1. Shake with ice and strain into old fashioned glass with lots of ice in it.

Nite Owl (superherococktails.file.wordpress.com)

• 4 parts Extra Dry Vermouth
• 2 parts Heering
• 1 part Gin
• Couple Spoonfuls of Water from Olive Jar

1. Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. 
2. Garnish with couple of olives.

BE WARNED: Some people love "the mystery" of this taste, but it's not for everyone.
