Slasher: Flesh & Blood - Thicker Than Water (S4E1)

Published: Sept. 14, 2021, 2 p.m.

Slasher is a fun anthology horror series created by Aaron Martin. You can stream the first 3 seasons of the show on Netflix, but the current season, which is amazing, is streaming only on Shudder. Each season is centered on a masked killer with an unknown motive for killing their victims, so be sure to check them out. The current season is titled Flesh and Blood, it follows a wealthy but dysfunctional family gathering for a reunion on a secluded island. The patriarch of the family is leaving his money to one person, they need to compete in different games and the last one standing is the winner. Their old wounds and competitive rivalries flare up when the family realizes a masked killer is on the island, intent on cruelly picking them off one by one. Who will win? You can get a free week of Shudder by going to shudder.com. Shudder is honestly a fun streaming platform full of films that might surprise you by how good they are. Some of my favorite films I've watched on there are The Boy Behind The Door (which I hope to record on, I saw this as part of the AFI Fest and its fantastic), Vicious Fun, and Scare Me. Along with their original films, they have some classics to watch like Carrie, Poltergeist and House on Haunted Hilll with Vincent Price. They even have original series like Creepshow, NOS4A2, and Visitations with Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah. So be sure to check it out, especially for the Halloween season.
