b"Hollywood likes giving films a redo. Are this week's films proving that new edits are worth the hassle?\\nEditor's Note: We acknowledge that this week's films show a clear lack of diversity. The privilege to have recuts and second chances have primarily been given to famous, white, male directors and this is reflected in the limited choice for this week's theme. It's a massive shame that we have not seen directors from other marginalised backgrounds have the same opportunities. There are so many different experiences and cultures that need to be told through film and we hope this is communicated through our standard film choices. My producer and I always aim to show that cinema does not have to only depict a certain demographic, however, this time around the immense privilege of white, male directors was shown to us instead.\\nPodcast Instagram: Lights, Carrie, Action\\nTwitter: CarrieJoMo\\nInstagram: CarrieJMo\\nSupport the show on Patreon: Lights, Carrie, Action\\nLetterboxd: CarrieMo\\xa0\\nProduced by Claire Smith.\\nbedtime after a coffee by Barradeen | https://soundcloud.com/barradeenMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unportedhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en_US"
