Patricia Sigam - Digital Health, Time for New Players?

Published: Nov. 3, 2015, 4:59 p.m.

After her medical studies, Dr. Patricia Sigam started her career in surgery departments where she practiced for 6 years. Her interest in technology and in new ways of providing care brought her to eHealth and to over 5 years as physician for several telemedicine companies in Switzerland and further studies in Public Health at the University of Geneva. Passionate about the revolution brought by readily accessible mobile technology, she started digitalMedLab in 2012, a startup developing mobile solutions for health professionals.

Having designed mobile apps for health call centers, for wound care, medication tracking and hypertension therapy, Patricia is in a unique spot to discuss the ongoing shift in doctor-patient relationships that go together with real-time health analytics and more and more data every day — and how Switzerland is coping with it.
